AIDS Interfaith Network's Core Values

Our Vision

The vision of AIN is to offer HOPE and to
HELP create a world without HIV/AIDS.

Our Mission
AIDS Interfaith Network is a multicultural, non-profit, faith-based HIV/AIDS organization that
provides direct care services to meet practical, emotional and spiritual needs and
prevention programs for individuals, groups and communities.

The Core Values of AIDS Interfaith Network are
Service, Respect, Inclusion, Collaboration
,
and Compassion.

We are an organization that Serves.
We exist to serve our clients and the broader communities of which we are a part.  In the battle with HIV, we serve those individuals who have HIV/AIDS and the communities that are impacted by HIV/AIDS.  Demonstrating professional competence, efficient and effective service, we provide care and work to prevent the further spread of HIV/AIDS.

We are an organization that gives Respect.
We believe in the value, worth, and dignity of all people.  We respect the diversity of races and cultures, belief systems and practices, and the different religious faiths of the people and communities we serve.  We accept others as fellow human beings, affirm the rights of others, embrace self-determination, and maintain integrity during our interactions with others.

We are an organization that embraces Inclusion.
We welcome and accept the people we serve regardless of their race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender orientation, religious creed, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, mode of contracting HIV, marriage status, domestic partner status, political affiliation, or military status.  We empower others by serving them equally, honestly, empathically, and non-judgmentally while communicating caring, commitment, and sensitivity.

We are an organization that Collaborates.
We cooperate with other service providers and other systems that also give support and care to the clients and communities we serve.  Through collaborations we foster the trust that is essential to building relationships.  We endeavor to model leadership, teamwork, and organizational competency while we build strong working relationships and coalitions with other organizations to best serve our clients and communities.

We are an organization that demonstrates Compassion.
We believe that HIV/AIDS is part of the human condition in which we all participate.  Responding to illness represents an opportunity for love, mercy, and compassion to be present through the lives of friends, families, neighbors, and caregivers:  We are the friends, families, neighbors, and caregivers, and are committed to showing compassion for those whom we serve.

Through compassion, we lay the
cornerstone of hope.
