Transportation Services consists of 3 program components:

  • Care-A-Van provides door-to-door or curb-to-curb van service
  • DART Bus Pass Program provides bus passes to clients wherever DART service is available
  • Taxi Support provides taxi service if other means of transportation are not available

Program priorities are to provide transportation to medical, dental, vision, social services, and counseling appointments; substance abuse services; children's services; and to food pantries.

The centralized physical location of the agency helps us reach out more effectively to all parts of the geographic service area. We are also located on the DART bus system with convenient bus stops close by each site, and are not far from DART rail service.

Since we are also a transportation provider, client access to our programs or the services of other agencies is further simplified through use of our transportation program. Our physical proximity to Parkland's Amelia Court Clinic, which serves a majority of our clients, and to other HIV service organizations, enhances our ability to serve clients and to collaborate with other service providers.
